Author Guidelines

General Instructions
Authors are requested to prepare manuscripts according to the ITSECS template. Manuscripts should present original research and must not have been published or submitted elsewhere.
Manuscript Structure
1. Title
  • Verdana Regular, 24 pt.
  • Maximum 16 words.
  • Only the first word begins with a capital letter.
  • Do not use bold formatting.
2. Authors
  • Write full names without academic titles.
  • Include affiliations and country.
  • Provide all author email addresses.
  • Mark the corresponding author with (*).
3. Abstract
  • 200–250 words.
  • One paragraph.
  • English and Indonesian abstracts (except English manuscripts).
  • Maximum 5 keywords.
Main Sections of the Manuscript
Section Description
Introduction Explain the research background, previous studies, research gap, objectives, hypotheses, and research questions.
Research Methodology Describe research methods, algorithms, models, datasets, experimental procedures, and use figures or flowcharts when necessary.
Results and Discussion Present research findings, tables, figures, graphs, performance analysis, comparisons with previous work, and scientific discussion.
Conclusion Summarize the findings, research contributions, limitations, future work, and practical implications.
Acknowledgment Optional. Mention funding agencies, research grants, institutions, or individuals contributing to the research.
References
  • Use Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, or another reference management software.
  • Reference style must follow the IEEE Citation Style.
  • A minimum of 15 references is required.
  • At least 80% of references should be published within the last 10 years.
  • Authors are encouraged to cite relevant international journal articles.
Submission Checklist
✔ Original and unpublished manuscript.
✔ Manuscript follows the ITSECS template.
✔ Abstract and keywords are complete.
✔ Figures and tables are properly numbered.
✔ References follow IEEE style.
✔ All authors have approved the submission.

Author Instructions
Please ensure that this section is written clearly and systematically. Authors should follow the journal formatting guidelines, present complete and accurate information, and maintain consistency throughout the manuscript. The content should reflect the objectives of the study and comply with academic writing standards.
1. Title

The title should clearly represent the main contribution of the research and should be concise, informative, and specific. Avoid abbreviations, formulas, symbols, or uncommon terminology whenever possible.

2. Authors and Affiliations

List all authors according to their actual contributions. Academic degrees (Dr., Prof., M.Sc., etc.) should not be included. Each author must provide an affiliation, country, and email address. The corresponding author should be marked with (*).

3. Abstract

The abstract should briefly summarize the entire research and enable readers to understand the study without reading the complete article. Do not cite references, tables, equations, or figures.

The abstract should contain:
  • Research background
  • Research objective
  • Methodology
  • Main findings
  • Research contribution
  • Conclusion
4. Introduction

The introduction explains the research background, identifies existing problems, reviews relevant previous studies, highlights the research gap, states the novelty of the study, and concludes with the objectives and contributions of the research.

The Introduction should include:
  • Background of the study
  • Problem statement
  • Literature review
  • Research gap
  • Novelty
  • Research objectives
  • Expected contributions
5. Research Methodology

Describe the research methods in sufficient detail to allow replication by other researchers. Figures, diagrams, algorithms, mathematical models, and flowcharts are recommended whenever appropriate.

This section should explain:
  • Research design
  • Data collection
  • Dataset characteristics
  • Research variables
  • Proposed algorithm/model
  • Experimental procedures
  • Evaluation metrics
6. Results and Discussion

Present research findings objectively before discussing their meaning. Results should be supported by tables, figures, charts, or statistical analyses. The discussion should interpret the findings and compare them with previous studies.

The discussion should explain:
  • Main findings
  • Performance evaluation
  • Comparison with previous studies
  • Advantages and limitations
  • Scientific implications
  • Practical applications
7. Conclusion

Summarize the research findings and demonstrate how the objectives have been achieved. Avoid repeating the discussion section. Clearly state the research contributions, limitations, and future research opportunities.

8. Acknowledgment (Optional)

Acknowledge funding agencies, research grants, institutions, laboratories, or individuals who contributed to the research but do not qualify for authorship.

9. References

References must be managed using Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, or similar software and formatted according to the IEEE citation style.

Reference Requirements
  • Minimum 15 references
  • At least 80% published within the last 10 years
  • Prioritize Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals
  • Use DOI whenever available
  • Avoid excessive self-citation
  • Ensure every citation appears in the reference list and vice versa
