Plagiarism
CHAIN: Journal of Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, and Informatics is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring that all submitted manuscripts meet appropriate standards of originality and ethical scholarly practice.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to plagiarism screening before entering or during the peer-review process. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and properly acknowledge all sources, quotations, ideas, data, and other materials obtained from previous works.
Maximum Similarity: 20%
The overall similarity index of a submitted manuscript must not exceed 20%. Manuscripts with a similarity score above this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected, depending on the nature and extent of the identified similarities.
A similarity score does not automatically indicate plagiarism. The editorial team may examine the similarity report to distinguish legitimate similarities, such as commonly used technical terminology, references, quotations, standard methodological expressions, and properly cited material, from inappropriate duplication or unattributed use of another person's work.
If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified during the review or publication process, the journal may take appropriate editorial action in accordance with its publication ethics policy. Such actions may include requesting clarification or revision, rejecting the manuscript, issuing a correction, or retracting a published article when necessary.
Authors are strongly encouraged to review their manuscripts carefully and ensure that all sources are appropriately cited before submission. By submitting a manuscript to CHAIN, authors confirm that the work complies with applicable standards of academic integrity and originality.
