Reviewer Guidelines

Reviewers are requested to carefully evaluate submitted manuscripts based on their scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, clarity, and contribution to the field. Reviewers should provide constructive, objective, and evidence-based comments that can assist authors in improving the quality of their manuscripts.

1. Reviewer Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the manuscript objectively, fairly, and independently.
  • Assess the scientific quality, originality, relevance, and contribution of the manuscript.
  • Provide constructive and specific comments that can help authors improve the manuscript.
  • Identify major methodological, theoretical, analytical, or presentation problems.
  • Verify whether the conclusions are adequately supported by the results.
  • Assess whether the manuscript is appropriate for the scope of the journal.
  • Complete the review within the assigned deadline.
  • Maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
2. Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest that could affect their objectivity or independence. A conflict may arise from personal, professional, institutional, financial, academic, or collaborative relationships with the authors.

Reviewers who believe that they cannot provide an impartial evaluation should decline the review and inform the editor as soon as possible.

3. Confidentiality
  • The manuscript and all information obtained during the review process must be treated as confidential.
  • Reviewers must not share the manuscript or review materials with third parties without permission from the editor.
  • Reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained through peer review for personal research or professional advantage.
  • Reviewers should not contact the authors directly regarding the manuscript unless explicitly authorized by the editor.
4. General Manuscript Evaluation

Reviewers should evaluate whether the manuscript meets the journal's academic and scientific standards. The following aspects should be carefully considered:

  • Relevance: Is the manuscript relevant to the scope and readership of the journal?
  • Originality: Does the manuscript provide original ideas, findings, methods, models, or applications?
  • Scientific Contribution: Does the study provide a meaningful contribution to the field?
  • Research Gap: Is the research problem and gap clearly established?
  • Novelty: Is the novelty or originality of the study clearly demonstrated?
  • Methodological Rigor: Are the methods appropriate, sufficiently detailed, and scientifically justified?
  • Results: Are the results clearly presented and adequately supported by the methodology and data?
  • Discussion: Are the findings properly interpreted and compared with previous research?

5. Title and Abstract

  • Verify that the claims presented in the abstract are consistent with the findings in the manuscript.
  • Identify unnecessary claims, unsupported statements, or excessive generalization in the abstract.
6. Introduction

Reviewers should evaluate whether the Introduction provides a clear and logical justification for the research.

  • Whether the research background and context are clearly explained.
  • Whether the research problem and its significance are clearly identified.
  • Whether relevant previous studies are adequately reviewed.
  • Whether the research gap is explicitly and convincingly established.
  • Whether the novelty and originality of the research are clearly explained.
  • Whether the research objectives or research questions are clearly stated.
  • Whether the claimed contribution is consistent with the identified research gap.
  • Whether the literature used is relevant, credible, and sufficiently up to date.
7. Research Methodology

Reviewers should determine whether the methodology is appropriate for addressing the research objectives and whether it is sufficiently described to support reproducibility.

  • Assess the appropriateness of the research design and methodology.
  • Check whether the data sources, datasets, samples, variables, or criteria are clearly described.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of data collection and preprocessing procedures.
  • Assess whether algorithms, models, mathematical formulations, or experimental procedures are sufficiently explained.
  • Check whether parameter settings and experimental configurations are adequately reported where applicable.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of validation and evaluation methods.
  • Determine whether the methodology is sufficiently transparent and reproducible.

8. Results and Discussion

9. Conclusion

  • Check whether the conclusion avoids introducing new information or unsupported claims.
  • Assess whether limitations are appropriately acknowledged where relevant.

10. References
  • Assess whether the references are relevant to the research topic.
  • Check whether important and recent literature has been appropriately considered.
  • Identify excessive reliance on outdated, irrelevant, or non-scholarly sources.
  • Check whether important claims are supported by appropriate references.
  • Assess whether the manuscript adequately engages with relevant international and/or high-quality scholarly literature.
  • Check the consistency between in-text citations and the reference list.
11. Use of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies

Reviewers should be aware that authors may use Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted technologies during manuscript preparation. Such tools may assist with language editing, grammar correction, readability, or manuscript organization.

Reviewers should focus on the scientific content, originality, accuracy, methodology, interpretation, and contribution of the manuscript rather than attempting to determine whether AI tools were used solely based on writing style.

  • Check whether AI-assisted content appears to introduce factual errors or unsupported claims.
  • Assess whether the manuscript demonstrates sufficient originality and scholarly contribution.
  • Identify fabricated, inaccurate, or unverifiable references or information.
  • Inform the editor if there are substantial concerns regarding undisclosed AI-generated content or research integrity.
  • Do not use AI tools to evaluate or process confidential manuscript content unless explicitly permitted by the journal or editor.
12. Language, Clarity, and Presentation
  • Assess whether the manuscript is written clearly and logically.
  • Identify significant grammatical, spelling, terminology, or formatting problems that affect readability.
  • Check whether technical terminology is used consistently.
  • Assess whether tables, figures, and equations are clear and properly referenced.
  • Review whether the manuscript follows the journal's formatting requirements.
13. Ethical and Research Integrity Considerations
  • Reviewers should identify potential plagiarism or substantial similarity with previously published work where reasonably apparent.
  • Report concerns regarding data fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or inappropriate research practices to the editor.
  • Identify potential duplicate publication or inappropriate reuse of previously published material.
  • Check whether ethical approval appears necessary and, where relevant, whether it has been appropriately reported.
  • Report suspected research misconduct confidentially to the editor rather than making accusations directly to the authors.
14. Review Comments

Reviewers should provide comments that are specific, constructive, objective, and evidence-based. Comments should clearly identify the issue and, where possible, provide a practical suggestion for improvement.

Reviewers are encouraged to distinguish between major comments that affect the validity, originality, or scientific contribution of the study and minor comments related to clarity, grammar, formatting, or presentation.

  • Avoid offensive, discriminatory, personal, or inappropriate language.
  • Do not request citations solely to increase citations to the reviewer or their colleagues.
  • Do not make demands unrelated to improving the scientific quality of the manuscript.
  • Focus comments on the manuscript rather than the authors personally.
  • Provide sufficient explanation for each major criticism.
15. Reviewer Recommendation

After completing the evaluation, reviewers should provide a recommendation based on the overall quality of the manuscript and the extent of revisions required. The recommendation should be consistent with the comments provided.

  • Accept: The manuscript meets the journal's standards and requires no substantive revision.
  • Minor Revision: The manuscript is generally acceptable but requires limited revisions.
  • Major Revision: The manuscript has potential but requires substantial revisions before it can be considered for publication.
  • Reject: The manuscript has fundamental problems related to originality, methodology, scientific validity, contribution, ethical concerns, or journal relevance that cannot reasonably be resolved through revision.
Important: The final editorial decision is the responsibility of the Editor. Reviewers provide expert recommendations and constructive feedback to support the editorial decision-making process.
